Behind the headlines

Problem

SCA (The Swedish Committee For Afghanistan) works for a better future for Afghanistan, where human rights are respected and all citizens live in dignity, enjoy equal opportunity and social justice. During their 40 years in Afghanistan SCA has made some serious progress for women, children and people with disabilities. But this is something that never makes the news – all we see is war and misery.

Insight

In order for people to want to contribute to the SCA we have to show that they actually make a difference. But not only did we want to show people what the SCA has achieved during the years, but also make people think about them every time they see headlines from Afghanistan. A constant reminder that they are in Afghanistan making life better for those with no rights. Working tirelessly behind the headlines – and the front lines.

Solution

In order to show people all the work and the progress being made we had to help them see past the headlines. So we did just that – literally. And hopefully people will stop and think about the SCA next time they see a headline about the war in Afghanistan.
